Overview

DotKiosk is designed with privacy in mind. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. All app data stays on your device.

Data Collection

DotKiosk does not collect any data. Specifically:

• No analytics or usage tracking
• No crash reporting
• No advertising identifiers
• No third-party SDKs that collect data

Local Storage

DotKiosk stores the following data locally on your device:

• Target URL: The webpage URL you configure to display
• Device Name: A friendly name you assign to the device
• PIN Hash: Your PIN is hashed using SHA-256 before storage. The original PIN is never stored.

This data is stored locally using platform storage (iOS Preferences / Android SharedPreferences) and never leaves your device.

Local Network Access

DotKiosk includes a local HTTP server for remote administration. This server runs only on your local network (e.g., your WiFi) and is not accessible from the internet.

When you access the admin dashboard from another device on the same network, your PIN is validated locally. No data is sent to external servers.

No Accounts

DotKiosk does not require user accounts, registration, or sign-in.

Children's Privacy

DotKiosk does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this privacy policy, we will post the new version on this page with an updated revision date.
